Derek Bolduc

I was born in Toronto in 1969. I got my first taste of rock n’ roll 2 days before I was actually born! My folks went to the Rock n’ Roll Revival Concert in Toronto on Sept, 13th 1969 @ Varsity Stadium, featuring John Lennon, Eric Clapton, Chuck Berry, The Doors, and Alice Cooper. 2 days later I was born.   Must have been the vibrations, cause I’ve been hooked on Rock n’ Roll my whole life. I have spent  20 years working on the radio all across Canada. (Hey it’s a great way to see the country and get paid too!)
Pet Peeves: Drive Thru’s (just go in it is way faster). Tailgaters, fluctuating gas prices and Lady Gaga. (Gaga drives me crazy since my neighbor played her DVD 13 times in a row @ 10!) No Gaga for me!
Likes: The Montreal Canadiens, Montreal Expos ( I know they will be back one day…The Expos). The Montreal Canadiens….hey they are called the Canadiens, I’m Canadian, it’s a no brainer. I also love, did I say love Vanilla Ice Cream and Eggo Waffles (try it sometime).
If I was sent to a desert Island and could bring only 3 things with me I would bring 3 Jeanie’s so I would have 9 wishes, that would about cover everything I needed.
Favorite Band: Pink Floyd ( AC/DC, Led Zeppelin, and The Rolling Stones come close).
Favorite Album: Pink Floyd “Animals”, and Pink Floyd’s “Meddle”
Favorite Animal: “Lou” my cat (he’s got more frequent flyer miles than most people).
Favorite TV Show: CKWS News Watch@6….just kidding.  I’m on-air so I always miss it! But Newswatch @ 11 ROCKS!
One person I’d love to meet is YOU!
Favorite Quote: It’s Great To Be Here, It’s Great To Be Anywhere…..Keith Richards”
Join us ( me and myself) for the Afternoon Drive Home Show Weekdays 3pm-7pm on Classic Rock FM96.

Hey Derek. Don't be too hard on Gaga. Pre-Gaga, as plain old Stefani Germanotta, she was a bit of a closet rocker, as evinced by this YouTube clip of her and her band covering D'Yer Mak'er live. It's not great, but it's acceptable.
